01/11/2009 - Fitting the J channels

Attaching the tail cone area requires more bending of flanges to get everything lines up.  Its actually easier to do it now once you can the lines the fuselage takes then when the cone is initially being assembled.

Cutting the J channels as per the plans was a simple task with no dramas

Fitting them into the aft fuselage was quite fun and rewarding starting to see it all come together.  Mmm lot of holes to drill

as most people have found out more work is required around the tail cone area to improve the fit and get all the skins lying flat and in sympathy with the lines of the fuselage.

That will be a job for next weekend !
